David J. Poland is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Engineering (EngD) at the University of Hertfordshire, building on his academic background, where he earned a Master of Science (MSc) in Computer Science at the same institution. His doctoral research focuses on the application of machine learning techniques in industrial manufacturing processes. In particular, he is committed to integrating machine learning algorithms into production systems and developing innovative manufacturing technologies for the industrial environments of the future. Driven by a strong passion for advancing engineering and a dedication to bridging the gap between academia and industry, David’s work aims to foster transformative changes in manufacturing through the use of artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), and data-driven methodologies.
